Today I am leaving South Africa after 9 months of living here. I have had some AMAZING moments that I will never forget…
I have gotten married, traveled and seen some of the most beautiful things I can imagine.
I can say I have lived in Africa for 9 months.
I can say I have learned so much that I would have never learned in the US.
Leaving is a very bittersweet feeling (mostly because I wont get to see my hubby for a month). Although South Africa may not have all the nice things that America does, it is beautiful and has its own positives I wouldnt take back coming here for anything.
I dont want to say “Goodbye” to South Africa, but rather “see you later” because I cant imagine not ever coming back.
Right now I am sitting in the airport for another 5 hours making it a total of 12 waiting for my 20 hour flight tonight back to the US. I thought I would be bored out of my mind but I have managed to walk around for about 4 hours before my backpack got to heavy.
I also got to meet the Captain of the South African Rugby team while hanging around!! I would definately say that was the highlight of my day!
For those of you who dont know Rugby is HUGE in South Africa! Its really fun to watch and let me tell you these guys are INTENSE. They make NFL players look like pansies! (Sorry Tim Tebow!)
Anyway I only have an hour of internet so this post will be short. Be back soon!
What do you do when bored in an airport? Where have you traveled that really changed your life?
